So! Haven't burned the house down yet - Namie 1, Gas Stovetop 0!
Life is approximately fifty-three and a third times better than it's been for me in a long time, even with mitigating factors such as my dad and my little brother and sister coming from Adelaide for an eight day visit, all of us getting sick off our tits and being virtually bed-ridden until they left.

I'm still recovering, but thankfully they left Thursday (don't get me wrong, it was bliss to have the kids here [Dad's still simultaneously an enormous cunt and a big softie, so I probably could've lived without seeing him], but Millie was really starting to get antsy [read: breath-takingly irritating]), and now all I have to do is set the place back to rights.
I've already cleaned the bathroom, sanitised all the light switches and door knobs and the fridge. Next is finishing the kitchen, then comes vacuuming and mopping (hate mopping. Tash can do it). Possible dry-cleaning for some things. Germs, germs. Fuckin' Crow Eaters.
Anyway. I don't think any of this was the point of my entry, but yay! Whingeing!
Been having the strangest dreams lately. I think I might make fics out of some of them, actually.

As of the fourth of June, 2009, I am officially no longer living at home! Tash and I have moved into our very own brand new apartment, and things are looking awesome.
